Applications Open for the 2026-2027 Core Leadership Mentoring Program
The Core Leadership Development & Mentoring Committee is now recruiting mentors and mentees for the 2026-2027 cohort of the Core Leadership Mentoring Program.
This program connects Core members who are established leaders or mid- to advanced-career librarians with Core members who are eager to grow as leaders or seek career mentoring.
- For mentors: This is a valuable opportunity to share your experience and insights by working one-on-one with an enthusiastic colleague ready to learn and benefit from your guidance.
- For mentees: The program offers the chance to learn from an accomplished leader or experienced librarian, explore your leadership potential, and develop the skills, perspectives, and professional relationships needed to thrive in future leadership roles and succeed in the profession.
Eligibility:
Participants must be a member of Core and ALA at the start of the program.
Applications:
- Applications open: Thursday, September 17, 2026
- Application deadline: Friday, October 16, 2026
