Core ALA Annual Preconference: Activating Leadership and Cultivating Your Team: Thinking Differently about Who You Are and What You Do in the Library
CHICAGO—Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures will host the half-day session “Activating Leadership and Cultivating Your Team: Thinking Differently about Who You Are and What You Do in the Library " on Friday, June 26, 2026, during the 2026 ALA Annual Conference & Exhibition in Chicago, IL. Leaders occupy all roles, titles, and spaces within our organizations. Differences in identities, dispositions, life experiences, and work areas lead to tension and create barriers. Strong teams begin with identifying our individual assets and connecting them to the other members of our team. The goal of this interactive workshop is to build bridges over steep interpersonal, cultural, and service area chasms, learn about our team members and identify their strengths to leverage them.
Friday, June 26, 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
