Nominations open for Joseph W. Lippincott Award
CHICAGO - Nominations for the Joseph W. Lippincott Award are now open. This award is presented to a librarian for distinguished service to the profession of librarianship, such service to include outstanding participation in the activities of the professional library association, notable published professional writing, or other significant activity on behalf of the profession and its aims.
The Joseph W. Lippincott Award is sponsored by Jay Lippincott. The winner receives a $1,500 and a framed citation of achievement that is given at the ALA Awards Ceremony at the 2026 ALA's Annual Conference, in Chicago.
To nominate please complete the online application. The nominations must be accompanied by a specific statement of qualifications of the nominee. Supporting evidence or testimonials are welcome.
Deadline: March 1, 2026
