Seeking Proposals for RUSA Virtual Forum -Stepping Boldly Forward
The Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) is seeking proposals for the 2026 RUSA Virtual Forum scheduled for March 10 & 12, 2026.
The Annual RUSA Virtual Forum serves as an engaging platform to spark innovation and collaboration among RUSA members, sections, and interest groups. We're excited to be in our 5th successful year of offering an economical, virtual venue to learn about reference and user services for library workers from all types of libraries. We need your proposals to make our 2026 forum even more successful!
Reference and User Services are navigating a turbulent landscape marked by both exciting technological advancements and precarious financial realities. Artificial Intelligence is rapidly evolving and its impact on how libraries have traditionally operated are being tested. Leaders and staff are facing challenges in this politically charged climate, where organizational missteps can be highly detrimental, especially to critical funding streams.
We are seeking proposals on stepping boldly forward by piloting services that take advantage of new technologies, responding creatively to fiscal challenges, taking risks, and being rewarded for their advocacy.
The RUSA Virtual Forum will serve as a platform to showcase our sections and interest groups as well as recent guidelines/standards and/or hot trending topics. Each session will be between 45-60 minutes.
