Centering the Student: Gathering Student Perspectives and Creating Content on Generative AI

60-minute webinar on November 19, 2025

This 60-minute webinar will cover the process of guiding what began as an ad-hoc interest group into a large-scale, multi-faceted team; lessons learned, and will touch on how the project outputs address diverse student perceptions and need surrounding generative AI. Attendees will leave with insight into student perception and ideas on how to address conversations and students’ needs surrounding AI at their institutions.

The Art of Asking Good Questions using the Question Formulation Technique

60-minute webinar on November 20, 2025. 

The Research as Inquiry frame from the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy centers question-asking as an essential part of the research process. In teaching Research as Inquiry, librarians at the University of New Mexico relied on adaptations of the Question Formulation Technique (QFT0, a relatively simple approach that helps learners generate questions and improve their question-asking asks. During This 60-minute webinar will lead participants through multiple versions of the Question Formulation Technique (QFT) .

Business Archives as a Tool for Academic Business Researchers

This webinar details the relevance of business archives to business librarians in an effort to better support researchers. This presentation stems from a longer paper and shares information about the contents of business archives, accessing business archives, key findings from conversations with business archivists, and tips for business researchers.

The presenter, Annette Bochenek, is an Assistant Professor and Business Information Specialist at the Purdue University Libraries and School of Information Studies. 

Activating AI Education and Algorithmic Literacy at Toronto Public Library

60-minute webinar on December 16, 2025

A webinar exploring how Toronto Public Library is fostering digital literacy in emerging technologies. This session will showcase efforts to empower individual within both local and global communities.

The presenter, Fiona O’Connor, is the Senior Services Specialist, Digital Literacy Initiatives at the Toronto Public Library.
