CHICAGO—Steve Kelley, Head of Continuing Resources and Database Management at Wake Forest University has been elected President-Elect of Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures, a Division of the American Library Association. His three-year term begins at the conclusion of the 2025 ALA Annual Conference and ends at the conclusion of the 2028 ALA Annual Conference. In discussing his vision for Core, Kelley said, "I am honored and thrilled to be elected Core's next Vice President/President-Elect. I am grateful to everyone who voted to entrust me with this responsibility, and promise to do my best to serve the Division's needs. I look forward to being deeply involved in Core's strategic planning process, which will begin later this year. The priorities for my term will be to promote the idea that Core's programming and membership opportunities need to adapt to meet the evolving interests and needs of our current and potential members, and to work to improve the financial stability of the Division.”
