American Library Association opens registration and launches Preliminary Program for 2025 LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience in Phoenix, AZ

CHICAGO – Registration opened today for the ALA 2025 LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience, taking place January 24-27, 2025 in Phoenix, AZ. The Preliminary LibLearnX Program was launched with agenda details.
LibLearnX is a four-day learning conference that invites American Library Association (ALA) members and non-members to participate in collaborative and engaging education, networking, and celebrations.
Designed as an active learning experience, LibLearnX offers a diverse selection of education programs, created by library professionals for library professionals, and are available in four learning formats and six primary content areas. The Preliminary LibLearnX Program includes the education programs, daily schedule, and speakers, with more agenda items to be added.

The LLX Marketplace will host exhibitors offering the newest titles, leading technologies, and core services for libraries. Ideas Xchange sessions will offer creative and collaborative activation zones where attendees will share creative projects and enjoy peer-to-peer conversations.
LibLearnX attendees will celebrate their fellow librarians, books, and authors at the award celebrations, including the I Love My Librarian Awards, the ALA Youth Media Awards, and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Sunrise Celebration. The Book and Media Awards and Andrew Carnegie Medals for Excellence in Fiction and Nonfiction will be streamed virtually.
LibLearnX will once again host participants at the ALA Governance Institute (AGI). The Institute offers the leadership and professional development skills needed for impactful leadership and effective decision-making. The session will take place on Friday, January 24, 1:00pm-5:00pm MST, and is open to the first 180 LibLearnX registrants who sign up. There is no separate registration for the AGI session, sign-up is completed at LibLearnX registration.
The ALA Gives Back community initiative will return and includes a partnership with two volunteer opportunities at the Burton Barr Central Library, a branch of the Phoenix Public Library.
