New Brad Meltzer promotion on atyourlibrary.org
CHICAGO — National Library Week may have ended last week, but atyoulibrary.org carries on the spirit of celebration with a new contest focusing on National Library Week Honorary Chair Brad Meltzer.
Each day a new question will be posted to atyourlibrary.org. Everyone who answers the question correctly will be entered in a drawing to win one of Brad Meltzer's books. Winners will have the option of selecting their book. Kindle, iPad and Nook users will have the option of receiving e-book editions if they are selected.
Best-selling author, television host and library advocate, Brad Meltzer, served as this year’s Honorary Chair of National Library Week. As the author of nine books and the host of the History Channel’s series, “Brad Meltzer's Decoded,” Meltzer credits libraries and librarians as the reason he became a writer.
As Honorary Chair, Meltzer appeared in print and digital public service announcements (PSAs) promoting National Library Week. The PSA appeared in both TIME magazine and TIME.com, as well as in other national publications and websites.
An op-ed by Meltzer appeared in the Huffington Post on Monday, April 9, discussing the importance of school librarians and well-funded school libraries.
Throughout the week, Meltzer also tweeted information about libraries and National Library Week activities to his more than 25,000 Twitter followers.
