Lisa Genova announced as Arthur Curley Memorial Lecturer, 2013 ALA Midwinter Meeting

CHICAGO — Neuroscientist-turned-novelist Lisa Genova has captured a special place in contemporary fiction by using her immense knowledge of how the brain works in her novels. ALA Midwinter attendees have a chance to hear this unique, popular and moving author at the 2013 Arthur Curley Memorial Lecture from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26.

Genova’s most recent and third novel “Love Anthony” (also her third New York Times best-seller) is about autism. It was an Indie Next Pick for October 2012, described by USA Today’s reviewer as “beautifully written and poignant to the point of heartbreak.” The Booklist review said that “readers will discover a unique portrayal of autism that is highly accessible and, at times, deeply profound.
