JobLIST Placement to host fourth chat in job search series

CHICAGO - How many “channels” are you using to get that next job? If you’re only responding to posted job ads by sending out a resume and then hoping to get a call or an interview, it's not enough. You can do a lot more to take control of your search and make it more effective. Join the ALA JobLIST Placement Center from noon to 1 p.m. CDT on Thursday, Feb. 23 to find out more.

In this online chat we’ll focus on social media tools and other strategies that every savvy job seeker needs to know about – and use – to increase their network, find out about new opportunities and promote themselves and their skills to potential employers.

The discussion will be facilitated by Dr. Caitlin Williams, a noted career development specialist with more than 20 years experience of helping individuals grow professionally and remain employable in a challenging economy.

This is the fourth chat in a series of job search strategies hosted by the ALA JobLIST Placement Center. To hear recordings of previous chats and webinars, visit JobLIST's Career Resources.
