J. A. Jance among the featured authors at the Gala Author Tea, sponsored by ReferenceUSA, at Midwinter Meeting
PHILADELPHIA — United for Libraries will host the Gala Author Tea, sponsored by ReferenceUSA, from 2-4 p.m. Pacific time at the Grand Hyatt Seattle, Leonesca Ballroom, on Monday, Jan. 28 at the 2013 ALA Midwinter Meeting in Seattle.
The Gala Author Tea will feature Erica Bauermeister, best-selling author of "The School of Essential Ingredients" and "Joy for Beginners"; Roger Hobbs, author of the debut novel "Ghostman"; Amanda Hocking, best-selling author of the Trylle trilogy; J. A. Jance, best-selling author of the J. P. Beaumont series and the Joanna Brady series, among others; Phillip Margolin, who has written 16 New York Times best-sellers; and Thomas Perry, best-selling author of 21 novels, including "The Butcher’s Boy."
Tea and a variety of sweet treats will be served. A book signing will follow, with most books given away free and others available for purchase at a generous discount. United for Libraries will recognize the winners of the 2012 National Friends of Libraries Week Awards during this event.
Advance tickets to the Gala Author Tea cost $49, $45 for United for Libraries division members. Onsite tickets cost $55, if available. Advance purchase is recommended. Event code: UFL1.
