Core Webinar: Best of Core Forum - Anti-Racist Acquisitions: Interrogating Processes

CHICAGO–Join Core on March 22, 2023, at 1 p.m. CT for the webinar “Best of Core Forum: Anti-Racist Acquisitions: Interrogating Processes.” The process and policies of acquiring materials are often overlooked when considering developing an inclusive and anti-racist collection. This presentation will reflect upon how Whiteness manifests in library processes for acquiring materials and is grounded in Diane Gusa’s White Institutional Presence (WIP) framework. It will offer questions participants can use to interrogate their own processes and policies, and will engage participants in small group discussions.

This webinar was previously presented in-person as a session at the 2022 Core Forum. We are hosting this webinar, with the session adapted and presented live as a virtual event, to extend its reach.
