ALA announces slate of petition council candidates

CHICAGO - The American Library Association (ALA) announces that the following individuals have filed petitions for the Councilor-at-Large position on the ALA Council for the 2023 ALA Election:

  1. Eboni Henry, School Media Specialist, District of Columbia Public Schools, Washington DC (School)
  2. Gina Kromhout, YA Senior Librarian I, Brooklyn Public Library Brooklyn, NY (Public)

The period for filing petitions closed on Dec. 31, 2022. Ballot mailing for the election will begin March 13, 2023 and will run through April 5, 2023. Renew your membership by Jan. 31, 2023 to ensure that you receive your ballot for the 2023 ALA election. Memberships can be renewed online or by calling 1-800-545-2433, option 1.
