Core ALA Preconference: Choose Your Own Adventure Scholarly Communication Assessment Rubrics

CHICAGO—Join Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures on Friday, June 24, 8:00 am to noon, during the 2022 ALA Annual Conference & Exhibition in Washington, DC for the preconference "Choose Your Own Adventure Scholarly Communication Assessment Rubrics". During this workshop, presenters will provide attendees with a draft developmental rubric that can be used to assess scholarly communication programs in academic libraries. Funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the rubric is a direct outcome of a series of focus groups with scholarly communication library practitioners, interviews with campus stakeholders, and a virtual national forum of experts convened to discuss the assessment of scholarly communication. The rubric is intended to offer libraries another avenue for evaluating the growth, maturity, and success of their local scholarly communication activities and services.
