Accepting Appointments for Career Coaching Sessions

The ALA JobLIST Placement & Career Development Service will host complimentary virtual career coaching sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, June 8th & 9th, 2022. Each one-on-one session is open to any library worker and completely confidential. Sign up now for an appointment.

Recharge your career by meeting with a professional counselor. The counselor can guide you in strategizing for the next phase of your career, solving a problem in your current job situation, defining goals, and/or rejuvenating your career. Perhaps you want to make a job change and need help determining your next move. This may be an excellent time to make an environmental scan of the current job market with help from our career coach.

If you have never experienced career coaching, or just haven't used this type of service in a long time, this is the perfect opportunity to introduce or reacquaint yourself with a service that can be useful throughout your career. Take advantage of the opportunity to talk with a knowledgeable professional about your career concerns.

Advanced signup is required. Appointments may go quickly. Register now using the online sign up form .

If you plan to attend the ALA Annual Conference, June 23-28, 2022, in Washington, D.C., be sure to stop by the onsite JobLIST Placement & Career Development Center. There will be career guidance workshops, assistance with resumes, and on-the-fly mentoring from librarians currently working in the profession. Employers will also be available to discuss open positions. For more information, visit the JobLIST Placement & Career Development Center webpage.

The ALA JobLIST Placement & Career Development Service is managed by the ALA Office for Human Resource Development and Recruitment (HRDR).
