ALA announces slate of petition Council candidates

CHICAGO — The American Library Association (ALA) announces that the following individuals have filed petitions for the Councilor-at-Large position on the ALA Council for the 2021 ALA Election:

  1. Rachael Clukey, reference librarian, Delaware County District Library, Delaware, Ohio (public)
  2. Michele Green, library media technology integration specialist, School District of Greenwood, Greenwood, Wisconsin (school)
  3. Sherry Machones, library system director, Northern Waters Library Service, Ashland, Wisconsin (public, tribal, and school libraries)

The period for filing petitions closed on Dec. 31, 2020. Ballot mailing for the 2021 ALA election will begin on March 8, 2021 and will run through April 7, 2021 with the results being announced on Wed., April 14, 2021. Renew your membership by Jan. 31, 2021 to ensure that you receive your ballot for the 2021 ALA election.
