Strock receives YALSA’s 2019 Volunteer of the Year Award

CHICAGO —The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), has selected Adrienne Strock, Programs, Outreach, & Partnerships Manager at the New Orleans (Louisiana) Public Library, as the recipient of its 2019 Volunteer of the Year Award.

The award acknowledges the contributions of YALSA members who have demonstrated outstanding service to the mission, goals and work of YALSA during a given service year.

“Being an active YALSA member and serving on taskforces has meant a great deal to me,” said Strock. “I love giving back to the library profession in this way and hope to continue to be involved in YALSA for years to come. To me, YALSA continues to lead forward thinking and innovation in libraries.”

Any official YALSA group or individual appointed to an official YALSA group is eligible for consideration for the Volunteer of the Year Award. For more information or to nominate someone, visit the Awards and Grants section of the YALSA website. Nomination forms are due no later than Dec. 1, 2019.
