Win Literary Prizes, Support Intellectual Freedom at ALA Annual Conference

Would you like to support contributions made to intellectual freedom on a personal level? And in the process come away with some great prizes?

The Intellectual Freedom Round Table is pleased to announce an exciting raffle at its breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, June 23 at 7:30 a.m. at the 2018 ALA Annual New Orleans Conference. The raffle supports IFRT awards celebrating important contributions to intellectual freedom.

Raffle tickets can be purchased on Friday, June 22, between 5:30-7 p.m. at the Stand for the Banned booth area or Saturday, June 23, before the fundraiser at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, rooms 218/219.

Raffle tickets may be purchased with cash, check or online donation (verified with receipt). Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. You do not have to be present at the event to win.

An assortment of splendid prizes are available, including:

Pictures and details of our prizes can be found on the IFRT raffle website. Arrangements are still being finalized on several more items but everything will be on display when you purchase your raffle tickets in New Orleans. Come out, support intellectual freedom and be a winner this year!

Conference attendees can register for the IFRT ticketed-breakfast in their initial Conference registration, or add the event using the unique link in the email confirmation following Conference registration. Tickets are $20 for ALA members, other members and non-members, and $10 for IFRT members. The breakfast is located in Morial Convention Center rooms 218/219.

The Intellectual Freedom Round Table provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians; serves as a channel of communications on intellectual freedom matters; promotes a greater opportunity for involvement among the members of the ALA in defense of intellectual freedom; and promotes a greater feeling of responsibility in the implementation of ALA policies on intellectual freedom.
