CHICAGO – Amy Aldridge-Ritchey from Upper Sandusky, Ohio, recommended American Association of School Librarians’ (AASL) membership to a colleague and in return has won complimentary AASL National Conference registration, round-trip airfare, and a three-night hotel stay as the grand prize winner of the Share the Wealth campaign. By recommending Wendy Layne Searfoss join AASL, Aldridge-Ritchey will go Beyond the Horizon with colleagues from across the nation this Nov. 9-11, in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Share the Wealth campaign encourages AASL members to reach out to their colleagues and invite them to join the only national professional organization focused on school librarians and the school library community. The original recipient of the drawing was already registered to attend the AASL National Conference & Exhibition in Phoenix and decided to pass the prize on to Aldridge-Ritchey, school librarian at USM/Union Elementary.
An ecstatic Aldridge-Ritchey shared, “I am so looking forward to the conference! I appreciate my membership in AASL because of their advocacy for school libraries, of course. I also selfishly value the access I get to webinars, online courses and the Knowledge Quest blog.”
For each member recruited as part of the Share the Wealth campaign, the referring AASL member receives an entry in a monthly drawing for a complimentary year of ALA and AASL membership. Their name is also entered into a final grand prize drawing for an AASL National Conference & Exhibition package, which includes registration, three nights lodging and round-trip airfare to Louisville, Ky. Multiple referrals are accepted and increases the chances to win the grand prize.
To participate and earn entry into prize drawings, membership acceptance forms must be returned with payment directly to AASL.
