Vote for the talks you want to hear at 2016 ALA Annual Conference
Public voting is now open through April 20, 2016 to determine which 36 talks in two formats will be added to this year’s ALA Annual Conference program. A total of 167 submissions were received.
“Conversation Starter” talks are fast-paced 45-minute sessions intended to jumpstart conversations and highlight emerging topics and trends. Vote now for your favorite Conversation Starters.
Ignite sessions give presenters exactly five minutes to share what they’re most passionate about in the library world and inspire an audience to join them. Each presenter’s five-minute talk is accompanied by 20 slides; each slide is displayed for 15 seconds, with slides advancing automatically. Vote for the Ignite sessions that will inspire you.
The public votes will be weighted for 30% of the selection process; staff votes will account for another 30%; the remaining 40% will be decided by an advisory group of ALA members.
