Join YALSA for a Twitter Takeover during Teen Tech Week™ 2016
CHICAGO – The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA) will host a twitter takeover during Teen Tech Week™, March 6-12, 2016.
Teen Tech Week will be celebrated this year with the theme of “Create it at your library!” To add to the festivities taking place at libraries across the nation, each day during Teen Tech Week, YALSA’s twitter account, @yalsa will be turned over to a different partner who will share out information, news and resources of interest to those working to build digital literacy skills in teens.
The takeover will allow partners to inform and engage YALSA’s 34,000+ Twitter followers about relevant issues from their perspectives, as well as share helpful resources of interest to YALSA’s audience. Topics range from connected learning, makerspaces and making, learning labs, web literacy, digital skills, practical tips for using digital tools, and more.

Teen Tech Week is a national celebration that offers libraries the chance to highlight all of the digital tools, resources and services they offer to teens and their families.
