Ask the preservation experts at ALA Midwinter

CHICAGO —Ask the experts your preservation questions at the Preservation and Reformatting Section (PARS) Forum at the upcoming ALA Midwinter Meeting in Boston. The PARS Forum will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, room 102B.

The PARS Forum will provide an opportunity for conference attendees to ask a panel of experts any question related to preserving library collections. Questions about your institution’s collection or your own personal collection are welcome. Experts will be available to advise on a wide range of formats, from books and papers, to audiovisual materials, and digital content. You can ask your question live at the Forum, or you can submit your question earlier at the Preservation Week booth (943) in the Exhibit Hall. Come to the Forum to hear your question answered, and take time to learn more about preservation from the answers to other questions.

PARS is a section of the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS). ALCTS is a division of the American Library Association. An international member-driven association, ALCTS engages the library community on issues and policies that affect the acquisition, management, discovery, and preservation of library collections.
