RUSA announces preconference programming at 2014 ALA Annual Conference
CHICAGO — The Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) is offering three preconferences from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014, during the ALA Annual Conference in Las Vegas.
Three "must see" events.
- How Business Librarians Support Entrepreneurs; Maximize the value of your library to local entrepreneurs from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- History Genealogy; Nationally known specialists will discuss everything from Ancestors Roadshows to personalized research, webinar outreach, new online offerings and making the financial case for genealogical librarianship from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Reference Interview; Find out about the psychological barriers to asking for help and discover how to keep the door open for future questions. This interactive workshop covers techniques for in-person, telephone and chat/IM reference services from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
All three preconferences are valuable for library staff at any level of experience. No matter your area of interest, RUSA offers something for everyone.
