Housing and registration for the PLA 2014 Conference are open

CHICAGO — Housing and registration for the Public Library Association’s 2014 Conference, March 11-15 in Indianapolis, are now open. For complete details, visit

The PLA 2014 schedule is packed with education, inspiration and entertainment. Keynote speaker Bryan Stevenson, founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative, will welcome attendees at the Opening Session, while David Sedaris will send them off from the Closing Session. In between, more than 150 educational programs; PLA’s new Big Ideas Series; author events with Jane Pauley, Craig Johnson and Lisa Unger, Mary Kay Andrews, Andre Dubus III, Walter Mosley and others; unique networking opportunities; and a bustling exhibits floor will keep attendees busy. There will also be lots to explore around the easily walkable city of Indianapolis.

Being a PLA member can save registrants $130 (over ALA members) and $195 (over nonmembers) when they take advantage of the Early Bird rate before January 10, 2014. Not a member? Visit the PLA membership site and join so you can save, too! Members of the Indiana Library Federation also qualify for the Early Bird rate.
