Become a confident grant writer and winner with PLA’s new online course
CHICAGO – In the competitive world of grants, it helps to have an inside edge. Sharpen your edge with a new online course, “Winning Grants for Your Library,” from the Public Library Association (PLA). This four-week course runs from Sept. 9 to Oct. 4 and includes online discussions and webinars, independent activities and personal feedback. See the full syllabus online.
Stephanie Gerding, grants expert and author of "Winning Grants," will lead an interactive program designed to help make grant work easier and more effective. Participants will learn how to find the best funding sources and grant opportunities suited to their public library; how to plan and write grant proposals with a competitive edge; and how to bring clarity and professionalism to grant proposals with an understanding of what grant reviewers are looking for.
Pricing for the four-week “Winning Grants for Your Library” is $129 for PLA members, $159 for ALA members and $189 for nonmembers. The deadline to register for this course is Sept 6.
PLA is a division of the American Library Association. PLA’s core purpose is to strengthen public libraries and their contribution to the communities they serve. Its mission is to enhance the development and effectiveness of public library staff and public library services.
