Share your personal tribute to Dr. King at ALA Annual Conference
CHICAGO — The Martin Luther King, Jr. Task Force of the ALA Social Responsibilities Round Table (SRRT) and the Black Caucus of the American Library Association (BCALA) invite attendees of ALA’s Annual Conference to record their reflections on how the work and legacy of Dr. King has inspired them in their careers as librarians and information professionals. Tributes will be recorded from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 30 in Conference Room 4I at the Hilton Chicago.
These video tributes will be played as part of the 2014 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Sunrise Celebration held during ALA’s Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia on Jan. 27 and will be shared on YouTube.
Those who are unable to attend the recording session can upload their videos to YouTube and send the links to olos@ala.org for inclusion in the project.
