B-Logistics offers discount to ALTAFF members
PHILADELPHIA — The Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations (ALTAFF), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), is welcoming B-Logistics to its family of corporate sponsors.
B-Logistics helps libraries sell, donate and recycle unused books and media. B-Logistics is offering ALTAFF members a $105 freight discount coupon for pick-ups or shipments made from May 1-Aug. 31, 2012. The offer includes up to three free local pick-ups (typically $35 each), or $105 off any single third party shipment coordinated by B-Logistics. Local pick-ups are defined as those within a one-hour radius of one of B-Logistics’ 10 plants nationwide. To check for the nearest location, visit www.blogistics.com/library_book_logistics.php.
To qualify for this offer, ALTAFF members should accumulate 10 boxes or more of books for local pickup. Non-local shipments should consist of 25 boxes or more and should be palletized. Materials may include weeded, donated and/or post-sales materials.
B-Logistics helps libraries and their Friends groups and Foundation affiliates earn a 50 percent commission on net proceeds through online sales to multiple e-commerce channels. Unsold materials are donated and/or recycled responsibly.
“We are pleased to be working with ALTAFF,” says Bart Crawford, founder of B-Logistics. “The no scanning or sorting option is particularly popular with our library partners who love receiving the detailed monthly reports…and checks!”
For the special offer from B-Logistics, ALTAFF members should log into the Friends & Foundation Zone or the Trustee Zone at www.ala.org/altaff.
