Make two clicks for advocacy with YALSA’s Tweet Your U.S. Senator Map on NLLD
CHICAGO — Can’t make it to National Library Legislative Day in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday? The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), a division of the American Library Association, can offer you a way to advocate for teen library services with just two clicks of a mouse: the Tweet Your U.S. Senator Map, developed by YALSA’s Legislative Committee.
To use the map:
- Log into Twitter on your browser, then visit the map at http://g.co/maps/qt22h.
- Click on the marker for your senator and click the Tweet Me! Link that pops up under the senator’s name.
The following message will automatically generate, tweeted to your senator: "Pls fund the Library Services & Technology Act at $184.7M & Innovative Approaches to Literacy Act at $28.6M #nlld @yalsa."
Join YALSA in using the map and encourage your followers to participate. Two clicks could mean a world of difference for funding teen services at your library!
For more than 50 years, YALSA has been the world leader in selecting books, videos and audiobooks for teens.
