The PLA 2012 Career Center connects job seekers/providers and hosts a resume review clinic
CHICAGO – At the upcoming PLA 2012 Conference, a space in Exhibits Hall C of the Pennsylvania Convention Center will be dedicated to a do-it-yourself Career Center. The PLA 2012 Career Center will provide opportunities for libraries to post available jobs; tables for libraries with open positions/recruiters to set-up shop; and private space for interviewing or meeting potential candidates. Tables will be first-come, first served, and sign-up sheets will be available for the private meeting spaces.
The PLA 2012 Career Center will be open during conference exhibit hours: 4 – 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14; 9:30 a.m.–5 p.m. on Thursday, March 15; and 9:30 a.m.–4 p.m. on Friday, March 16.
The Career Center will also host a resume review program on Thursday, March 15. Library professionals experienced in hiring will be available for one-on-one consultation. Times and sign-up will be available at the Local Arrangements Desk in the registration until space is filled.
