New mobile app helps PLA 2012 Conference attendees plan with the touch of a finger
CHICAGO – The PLA 2012 Conference app is now available for any Web-enabled phone. This robust and informative app helps attendees build a conference schedule with programs and exhibitors, search PLA 2012 speakers and topics, find local restaurants and even figure out what to pack with a weather section.
The app is free thanks to the generous sponsorship of Boopsie for Libraries and can be downloaded by visiting http://pla.boopsie.com on a mobile device.
Boopsie is compatible with all Web-enabled phones. High-speed downloadable clients are available for Android, BlackBerry, J2ME, Palm OS, Symbian S60, Windows Mobile and iOS (iPhone, iPad, and iPod).
Offered biennially, PLA Conference is the premier event for public libraries, drawing librarians, library support staff, trustees, friends and library vendors from across the country and around the world. The conference includes nearly 200 top-quality continuing education programs, engaging social events, networking opportunities and a bustling exhibits hall.
