Mackin sponsors AASL student video contest prizes
CHICAGO – Mackin Educational Resources will once again sponsor prizes for the American Association of School Librarian’s (AASL) School Library Month student video contest. Mackin will award the school libraries of the student winners with a prize of $500 in books.
The 2012 contest, You Belong @ Your School Library, asks that students visually illustrate why the school library is (either physically or virtually) the place to be. Submissions for the video contest will be accepted through March 29 and winners will be announced during School Library Month on April 17. Contest judges will select one student entry from an elementary, middle and high school each. In addition to the prize for their school library, student winners will receive a $100 gift card to Amazon.com. More information about the contest and how to enter can be found at www.ala.org/aasl/slmvideocontest.
