Author Liz Moore added to PLA 2012 Virtual Conference lineup
CHICAGO – From 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, author Liz Moore will join the Virtual Conference held in conjunction with the Public Library Association 2012 Conference, March 13-17 in Philadelphia.
Moore is the author of “The Words of Every Song,” a novel that delves inside the music industry through 14 linked episodes, and the 2012-released “Heft,” which tells the story of the transformative connection between a reclusive, 550-pound professor and a disadvantaged boy dreaming of becoming a baseball star. The Boston Globe says “Moore's writing is clear, persuasive, and totally engaging."
She is also a musician (“Backyards”) and an assistant professor of writing at Holy Family University in Philadelphia.
The PLA 2012 Virtual Conference, Mar. 15-16, offers a unique way to connect to the onsite conference. It features two days of online programming—10 educational sessions, author interviews and networking opportunities. Registration is available for individuals and groups.
Offered biennially, PLA Conference is the premier event for public libraries, drawing librarians, library support staff, trustees, friends and library vendors from across the country and around the world. The conference includes nearly 200 top-quality continuing education programs, engaging social events, networking opportunities and a bustling exhibits hall.
