Whether you feel like print or online, the new Booklist subscription model offers it all

Booklist Publications is introducing a new subscription model effective Jan. 1, 2012, a combination of print and online access that promises to have a strong impact on streamlining collection development and readers’ advisory workflows. A subscription now includes 22 Booklist and 4 Book Links print issues, plus the new benefit of 24/7 password-access to Booklist Online.

“This new model reflects the way librarians and others are telling us they want access to the wide range of content Booklist delivers in order to get their jobs done most efficiently and effectively,” said Bill Ott, editor and publisher of Booklist. “The powerful interactive features as well as the content in Booklist Online complement what’s available in print, allowing subscribers to benefit from the entire archive of reviews (more than 135,000 and growing) as well as features such as editor-selected read-alikes, top 10 lists, and related articles.”

With the new integrated package, subscribers can use the 8,000+ new insightful, recommended-only reviews a year, plus the 135,000 in the database, for reliable collection development and creative readers’ advisory. They can also connect books, libraries and K-8 classrooms with Book Links quarterly print supplement and online content.

Subscribers who haven’t already done so can activate their new online access at www.booklistonline.com/subscribe. Booklist editors will also be at booth #1517 at ALA Midwinter Meeting in Dallas, January 20-23, and will be glad to help subscribers set up access and explain the benefits of the new subscription model.

Institutional subscriptions to Booklist Online offer unlimited simultaneous use, patron/faculty/student access, as well as remote access, and remain the most convenient option for larger institutions. If your library or organization hasn’t tried Booklist Online before, you can request a free institutional trial by e-mailing info@booklistonline.com. You can also see short demo videos on how to get the most out of Booklist Online at www.booklistonline.com/demos.
