2012 Over the Rainbow list recognizes 74 quality LGBT fiction and nonfiction titles

DALLAS – The 2012 Over the Rainbow Project book list, sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Round Table (GLBTRT) of the American Library Association (ALA), was announced at ALA’s Midwinter Meeting in Dallas.

The bibliography features quality fiction and non-fiction books for adults that are recognized by the Over the Rainbow Project, a standing committee of GLBTRT, for their authentic expression of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender experiences. Each year, the Over the Rainbow Project releases its annotated bibliography to aid librarians and patrons in selecting quality books released over the past 18 months. This year’s list includes 74 titles published between July 1, 2010 and Dec. 31, 2011.
