LLAMA Webinar: 'Leading with Emotional Intelligence'

CHICAGO — The term emotional intelligence has been written about so much over the years that you might start to wonder if it’s a passing fad. However, when it comes to managing people, as individuals or as members of an entire organization, it remains one of the most potent skills a manager can have.

The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present “Emotional Intelligence and Library Leadership,” at 1:30 - 3 p.m. (Central time) on Wednesday, August 23. Join us to learn about the four elements of the emotional intelligence framework (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management), and how their component parts play a critical role in effective library leaders.

After viewing this webinar, attendees will be able to:

- Clearly understand the concepts underlying emotional intelligence

- Define the four elements of emotional intelligence and how they apply to leadership

- Develop personal strategies for increasing your own emotional intelligence
