Meet more than 25 popular authors at YALSA’s YA Authors Coffee Klatch in New Orleans

CHICAGO — Meet your favorite young adult authors over coffee at YALSA’s annual YA Authors Coffee Klatch, at 9 a.m. CDT June 26 in New Orleans, as part of the ALA Annual Conference. This year’s klatch will feature more than 25 authors whose books have won YALSA’s six awards or appeared on its seven booklists. Tickets cost $19.

The klatch uses a speed-dating approach so attendees can meet as many authors as possible! Authors will sit at a table and talk about their work and move to a new table every three to four minutes. Authors participating in this year’s event include:

You can purchase tickets for the klatch as part of your registration for the ALA Annual Conference, at Advanced registration ends May 13. If you have already registered and would like to add the YA Authors Coffee Klatch to your registration, you can do so (1) by phone: Call ALA Registration at 1 (800) 974-3084 and ask to add the YA Authors Coffee Klatch to your existing registration; or (2) Online: Add an event to your existing registration by clicking this Annual Registration link.
