Socialize and network with RUSA members in San Diego
CHICAGO - Liven up your 2011 ALA Midwinter Meeting experience with the Reference and User Services Association’s (RUSA) Membership Social—an opportunity to eat, drink, network and learn more about RUSA.
The social, one of many RUSA activities at the Midwinter Meeting in San Diego, is open to all current RUSA members, friends of RUSA and those meeting attendees interested in learning more about the association and networking with peers. RUSA leadership and longtime members will be on hand to answer questions about ways to get involved with the division, which serves a broad range of library professionals, including reference and business reference librarians, as well as those in the fields of collection development, readers advisory, genealogy, bibliography, historical reference, resource sharing and computer-based reference, among others.
Past, present and future RUSA members are all invited to this event, which will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011 in the Elevation Room at the Hilton Bayfront, One Park Boulevard, San Diego. Appetizers and a cash bar will be available, and RSVPs are not required. The event is generously sponsored by Thomson Reuters.
