Ring in the new year with Glee

CHICAGO — Kicking off an exciting 2011, the cast of the hit show “Glee” appears on the latest READ Poster from ALA Graphics. The poster captures characters Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison), Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith), Mercedes Jones (Amber Riley) and Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) in the stacks with a selection of their favorite reads. And rounding out the line, the Glee Bookmark pack features the characters in four different designs.

ALA Graphics launches a Facebook trivia contest Jan. 4, with chances to win a Glee Poster, as well as copies of the latest novel, “Glee: Foreign Exchange,” compliments of Little, Brown and Company. Each day through Jan. 7, a new “Glee” trivia question will tap into respondents’ knowledge about the TV show and its characters, with a random winner drawn from the correct responses. Visit the ALA Graphics Facebook page for contest details. Those who can’t wait can purchase the Glee Poster and bookmark pack now from the ALA Store.
About “Glee”:
Following the ambitions, hopes and heartaches of McKinley High students, Glee follows optimistic Spanish teacher Will Schuester as he works to convert the glee club, New Directions, from social outcasts to popular stars. To that end, he recruits football quarterback Finn Hudson and his stunning vocals to help amp up the club’s reputation. With more “cool” in the club, eager starlet Rachel Berry, sassy diva Mercedes Jones, fashion-forward Kurt Hummel and the rest of the New Directions members focus on capturing first place at Nationals—all while overcoming social squabbles, fierce faculty and the usual drama of high school. Now in its sophomore season, “Glee” is the highest-rated new scripted series and has received numerous accolades and critical acclaim.
