CHICAGO - New content that highlights two new books about the legendary trumpeter Louis Armstrong, Library Card Sign-up Month, a library for your health and ‘how the library helped me during tough economic times’ is featured this week on The website provides information and recommended resources that everyone can take advantage of at their local library.

Other articles include a profile of a winner of the I Love My Librarian contest; tips for the first-time home seller; a video interview with Gregory Maguire, author of "Wicked"; classic movie night: "The Treasure of Sierra Madre"; Donna Seaman’s interview with author Stuart Dybek ; and reviews from Booklist. is the website for the American Library Association’s public awareness campaign —the Campaign for America’s Libraries, which highlights the value of libraries and librarians and connects people to the free resources at their local library.

Prepared by librarians and other experts , new articles are uploaded regularly with how-tos and tips for parents, job seekers, teenagers, and kids. Recommended resources are linked to the World Cat database, which provides a list of the nearest libraries where the recommended item can be accessed.

Gould, site editor-in- chief and director of the American Library Association’s Public Information Office.
