The ReMember Fund is being established to ensure that library worker members can maintain ALA membership during times of financial insecurity. Keeping members connected to fellow library workers and the resources available from ALA, is so important during challenging times.
Recipients will receive a non-renewable sponsorship to cover ALA basic membership dues for one year.
- Applicant must be a current member of ALA or a member within the last 3 years as a Regular, International, Library Support Staff or Non-Salaried Member.
- Applicant must be furloughed or unemployed at the time of application.
- Applicant must intend to continue working within library services.
ALA will begin reviewing applications in May, 2021. To apply, submit this application. Applications are reviewed monthly and are awarded when funds are available.
The ReMember Fund is supported by donations and contributions from fellow members. Donor contributions are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
The ALA Committee on Membership has oversight over this fund.
