LITA President-Elect Zoe Stewart-Marshall hosts the LITA Town Meeting

Monday, January 23, 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Meet your fellow LITA members, and participate in a conversation about how LITA responds to and involves its membership in the larger information, association, community-building, and technology-related landscape.

LITA, like most of the library community, faces many challenges that strike at the heart of what it means to be a member of LITA and ALA. Meet members of the LITA Board and provide input regarding:

  1. the value that participation in professional associations in general and LITA in particular provide;
  2. how LITA can provide support for developing leadership skills in emerging technology leaders;
  3. where and how should LITA provide support for development of technology skills and
  4. other questions that are brought forward by the membership.

We welcome and encourage the open participation of all LITA members, and potential LITA members, in this meeting with the goal of strengthening the health of this community-based organization.  Please do take some time and attend the Town Meeting.  For those LITA members who are not able to physically attend, information about  other avenues of input will be made available.
