The Committee Chairs Coordinator serves as a resource for chairs of LITA committees and interest groups. The Coordinator facilitates communication between the leaders of these groups through administering meetings and the email list.
Skills
- Should have a strong working knowledge of operations and processes
- Should be a good meeting facilitator
- Must be a LITA member
Principal Activities
- Run LITA committee chair meetings at ALA Annual and Midwinter: prepare agenda, take notes/minutes; post to website; conduct in-depth orientation for new committee chairs
- Run joint meetings with IG Chair coordinator at ALA Annual and Midwinter: prepare agenda, take notes/minutes; post to website
- Respond to questions by LITA committee chairs; provide answers
- Report to LITA Board on any issues or concerns raised
- Submit appropriate information to LITA Website
- Review and update LITA Committee Chairs Orientation Tip Sheet
- Share the Virtual Toolkit with incoming chairs
