This grant is known as the WNBA Eastman Grant. It is named for Ann Heidbreder Eastman, who was an active member of both the Women's National Book Association (she was a past national president) and the American Library Association (she was a member of the ALA Publishing Committee, the ALA Council, and she held many other association positions, including the presidency of one of ALA's divisions, the Library Administration and Management Association). The grant honors Ann's commitment to education about publishing as well as her support of communication between librarian and publishers.
