The purpose of the Social Media and Outreach Committee is to:

  • Effectively and efficiently promote GODORT efforts, members, and relevant government information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain all GODORT social media accounts.
  • Assess social media engagement analytics.
  • Actively solicit social media content from GODORT committees.
  • Curate, schedule, and formally post social media content in appropriate social media channels.
  • Maintain and update GODORT's website.
  • Manage GODORT's LibGuides accounts.
  • Create and maintain guidelines, timelines, and best practices for GODORT's online platforms, including LibGuides.

The committee oversees both GODORT's Facebook, Instagram and X accounts.
