Virtual Hangout: New Year Check-In

Virtual%20Hangout%20-%20Jan%202019

The Spectrum Advisory Committee invites you to the January Virtual Hangouts discussion. The informal discussion will be a time for folx to check in with one another, share any personal and professional goals for the new year, and reconnect as 2019 begins.

Visit https://meet.jit.si/spectrumscholars and join us in conversation at 5pm PST / 6pm MST / 7pm CST / 8pm EST on Wednesday, January 16, 2019.

About Virtual Hangouts: Spectrum "virtual hangouts" are a Scholar-run and Scholar-occupied space facilitated by the Spectrum Advisory Committee for informal, open, and honest conversation around a specific topic. All librarians and library workers of color are invited to listen, participate, and/or contribute as they feel comfortable.

About Jitsi: Jitsi is a free online video conferencing tool. You do not need an account to sign in and it is accessible by telephone if you are not in front of a computer. There is also an app you can install on your smart phone called Jitsi Meet but it has fewer features than the website. There is a chat box on the lower left hand side you click to open and can change your name. (Unfortunately, the avatars chosen are random.)
