During this webinar the presenters will discuss the role of library leaders in helping transition libraries to FOLIO, an open-source library management system, along with associated staff challenges, training, and leveraging aspects of FOLIO for new library initiatives.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the webinar attendees will be able to understand how to address staffing challenges and other library-wide implementation issues related to transitioning to a new open-source library management system.

Those who work at public, academic, or any library that uses a library management system and is considering an open-source platform would benefit from this webinar.

Presenter

Sharon WIles-Young is the Director of Library Access Services for the Lehigh Libraries. She provides strategic direction and management for the Library Lending Services Team and the Library Technical Services Team.

Paula Sullenger is the Associate Dean for Information Resources at Texas A&M University Libraries. She has previously worked in a variety of serials and electronic resource management roles at Auburn University.
