Learning Outcomes

During this discussion, attendees will:

  • consider how instructional technologies and accessibility relate.

Librarians, library school students, or anyone interested in learning more about how instructional technologies and accessibility intersect.

Hosts

Melissa Johnson is currently an Instructional Design Librarian at the Business Library, part of SMU Libraries, located in the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, Melissa holds a MS in Library Science and a MS in Learning Technologies. Her professional interests are instructional design and emerging technologies and her tag line, "Nerd by nature; Librarian by choice" helps sum up her personality.

Breanne Kirsch is a University Librarian at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa. In addition to her MLIS, Bree has a masters in educational technology and is currently working on a doctorate in instructional design and technology. Her current research interests include instructional technologies and universal design for learning.
