Grolier-Americana Scholarship Award (HISTORICAL)

About the Grolier-Americana Scholarship Award (historical)
The scholarships are given for professional education of school librarians, one school to be chosen annually by the AASL for its undergraduate program, and one for its graduate program in school librarianship. The schools will vary from year to year and the selection of the students to recieve the scholarships is left to the school.
Award and Frequency
$1,000 to the selected school of which will select recipients.

Selection Criteria
Two scholarships are awarded every year for the professional education of school librarians on the basis of demonstrated need for scholarships in school librarianship, scope of library education programs for school librarians, and the geographic locations of the institutions.
