About the Young Adult Literature Symposium Stipend (HISTORICAL) To enable two qualified recipients to attend YALSA’s Young Adult Literature Symposium.

Award and Frequency

Up to two bi-annual stipends of up to $1,000 are awarded - one to a library worker and one to a student.
This award is given out on a biennial basis.

Eligibility

Applicants must be either

1. a library worker who works directly with young adults, with 1-10 years of experience, or

2. a student enrolled in an ALA-accredited MLS program, and must be a student as of November 5, 2010, with a focus on serving young adults in a library supplement.

All applicants must be personal members of YALSA.

Application Instructions

Applications for both stipends must be received in the YALSA office by Jan. 4, 2010, or via email to yalsa@ala.org. Download the application instructions and form: students (Word doc) and library workers (Word doc). Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Winners will be notified before or on March 1, 2010.
