The award is open to any librarian who participates in instruction/information literacy activities in any type of library. Instruction need not be the main focus of their position.
Criteria
The award will be awarded based on any of the following:
To nominate yoursefl for another individual for the LIRT LIbrarian Recognition Award, please submit a letter and any other supporting media to address the specific criterion. The nomination packet should also include 3 letters of support and the following identifying information:
Your Name; Address; Phone number; email address
Name; Current Position; Address; Phone number; Email address Send all nomination materials by the deadline to the Chairperson of the LIRT Awards Committee.
The award winner(s) will recieve a $1,000 cash award, a plaque, and a $500 travel stipend to be used to attend the ALA Annual Conference.
Notification
The award winner will be notified following the ALA Midwinter Meeting, no later than February 15th.
